My bestest buddy Chris had his birthday this past July, and for his present I decided to make his favorite pokemon as a plushie.
This is Haunter, a wonderful classic Pokemon whom many love. He is my first major attempt at a non-spherical plush (aka, a plush that would be composed of mostly ball shapes stuck together). It took quite some time to figure out the proper pattern for him, and oh gosh, those hand claws were a nightmare (heheh).
But I am extremely proud of the result. ^___^
So, as you can see, I have included a front shot, a back shot, and two shots that demonstrate the true awesomeness of this plush. I made Haunter so that his hands are detachable, so you can play with him and pretend he is grabbing at opponents like the Ghost Pokemon that he is. At the base of each hand's "wrist" is a sewing snap button, which allows his hand to detach from the body for playing/posing, and then they can reattach so that the hands don't get lost.
Haunter is made of fleece, sewn with my machine and by hand in the places that were too narrow for the machine to cover. You can estimate his size based upon my hand in the 3rd picture, holding his hand up to wave/grab at you.
...This is, to date, my favorite work.
