Description
This is a watercolor painting I did back in 2008. I thought I would post it since it falls into my current "style" of arts.
This is The Firey Card from Cardcaptor Sakura, an awesome anime from my childhood. I obtained the manga in 2008 and was in love which it so much, I decided to draw one of the coolest cards I remembered.
Unfortunately I could not remember Firey's coloring at the time, and I found no decent images online, so I made my own vision of what I decided looked best for Firey. He is an awesome winged thing of doom and very pretty. I drew him on a roughly 8 1/2" by 11" piece of sketchbook paper and inked the outline with pen before painting him with watercolors, including metallic shiny watercolors. I have him framed in my dorm because I still love how he turned out. His positioning is a "copy" of a panel in the 6th Cardcaptor Sakura manga volume, as best as my freehand drawing can copy anyway. I thought it was the coolest panel shot, so I wanted a bigger one.
I hope to make more paintings like this, although maybe not with watercolor, as that medium is the most unforgiving I have ever worked with.
